People who help us

This morning one of the children brought his baby lamb Bruce into Preschool for the children to feed.  Thank you to Farmer Sophie from Colletts Farm.

This afternoon a Lifeguard came to visit the Preschool children.

Jonathan a lifeguard from Kingfisher came to talk to us. He brought a uniform for us to try on and a whistle and a float. He told us what the number of blows on a whistle meant; 1 is stop and listen, 2 is get out of the pool. He told us rules for keeping safe at a pool. He brought little Annie in and showed us what a lifeguard does if someone isn't breathing. We told him we know to call 999 if you are in trouble. He told us about lifeguard training.   Many thanks to Jonathan from Kingfisher Pool in Sudbury.

Kitty Rose Shopping Evening Tonight

Please join us tonight from 7.30 until 9.30pm for our Kitty Rose Shopping Evening at Woodland Corner

Today we had two doctors visit us at Preschool.  Poor teddy had fallen off the slide and his mummy called an ambulance.  The doctors went through what would happen to teddy once he got to hospital. They explained what an x-ray was and showed the children real x-rays of body parts and also x-rays of their favorite toys.  The children role-played being doctors the rest of the morning!

Tuesday 7 February 2017

On Monday morning, Chief Inspector Egan came to visit Preschool.  She told the children all about her job and how she keeps people safe and protects from 'baddies' who break the law.  She showed the children her stab vest and kit jacket that had her equipment in it including her radio, prevention spray and handcuffs.  Mel pretended to be a naughty person and let Ronnie handcuff her and put her in leg restraints.  The children tried on the vests and hats and they were very heavy!  Thank you Ronnie for coming to visit!
